It's been more than a month since the last supper club (Persian one). Since a few people have been asking me, I decided to put my act together and get my hands dirty – putting one together again this Saturday.
As usual, I source my vegetables organically and locally where possible. Meats are imported and hormone-free. My style of cooking is minimalist and rustic – if the ingredients are fresh and of high quality, I believe in letting them speak for themselves. I like to serve family style as I believe this fosters a greater degree of 'intimacy' and helps foster a more cosy atmosphere amongst all guests ;). Please bring some booze if you want social lubrication (I'll provide some red wine too for reinforcement).
Here is the tentative menu (subject to change according to what is fresh and my mood):
Roasted New Zealand Rack of Lamb with Moroccan Flavours
Pan-fried Hokkaido Scallops with Lemon Parsley Butter
Slow-roasted harrissa rose New Zealand pulled lamb shoulder with sticky pomegranate glaze. Served with warm pitta dusted with Za'atar.
Wasabi Australian chateaubriand beef cubes with golden crisp garlic chips
Homemade fresh pesto penne bake
Roast butternut squash with crispy shallots and a lime yoghurt dressing
Bulgur Pomegranate Parsley Salad / Citrus Mixed Beetroot Salad With Hazelnut Crunch
Lemon Garlicky Kale Salad
Grilled Asparagus with Pan-fried Halloumi and Cherry Tomatoes
