Ushering the New Year in True Roaring 20s Fashion

2021 is here and on behalf of the FlirtyFridays team, I would like to personally send my well wishes for the new year – one of meaningful connections formed over the dinner table.

The immense challenges of 2020 certainly revealed a fundamental human need amongst us all – the unwavering need for human connection. Through my genuine love to connect people and cook rustic meals for those I care about, I created FlirtyFridays as a social dining concept to foster real, authentic connections between working professionals. It is my core belief that every new friend begins with meeting a stranger and it is from this, that opportunities arise. My hope is that these connections lead to limitless possibilities – from new friendships, to new business relationships, to new meaningful romances that extend beyond the categorical “fling” so prevalent in society today.

Over the last year, we’ve fed more than 400 hungry people and connected people in ways they could never imagine. We have new culinary talent being showcased to our community and prior diners who had so much fun that they wanted to partake as hosts. Furthermore, new business partnerships have been formed, friendships inked, and a few romances have also arisen over the dinner table.

With new social distancing measures, private dining bookings have also risen to the fore. Much more importantly, we’ve seen an outpouring of feedback and enthusiasm from our patrons on the multitude of ways conversations and fun banter at our dinner tables have led to connections that are positively impacting peoples’ lives. It is my vision to onboard more up-and-coming artistic and culinary talent and to leverage on this powerful combination to bring more people together in a convivial and authentic manner for the greater good.

To quote from Tim Sanders, “your network is your net worth”. So why wait? Start broadening opportunities for yourself this new year. It all begins by meeting someone new each week.

Happy New Year! To more meals to come.

Best,

Michelle
